- No. Free conversion uses a 5-page / 24-hour device quota with no login.
- How long do you keep my PDF?
- Text-layer parse runs in your browser and does not upload the PDF. Any future cloud OCR path: delete after processing or within ≤ 24 hours.
- Text-layer vs scanned — what works now?
- Text-layer PDFs parse in-browser with pdf.js. Scanned / image-only files are not supported yet — we show an honest failure, never a fake success. Cloud OCR is a later labeled path.
- How do I verify the convert was correct?
- Check the reconcile bar: Balanced means opening → closing ties to the cent; Off-by $X lets you jump to the first printed-balance mismatch row before you export.
- Can I prove it’s local (text PDFs)?
- After the page loads, you can go offline and still convert a text-layer PDF — parse stays in the browser. Scanned OCR, when added later, will be labeled as cloud.
- What’s free vs paid?
- Free: CSV + Excel with reconcile, 5 pages / 24h. Paid: QBO / OFX (QFX optional) at $3.99 per file or Pro $19/mo · 200 pages via Waffo (placeholder until live checkout).
- Should I use my bank’s CSV export instead?
- If your bank already offers a clean CSV/OFX download, prefer that. Use this converter when you only have a PDF, or when you want an opening→closing reconcile report before import.
- Can I redact account numbers first?
- Yes — and you should. Black out or mask account/routing numbers in the PDF before converting if you share exports. We never ask for login credentials to your bank.
